Two-stage Biscuit and Gloss kiln firing for floor tiles, wall tiles, sanitary ware, crockery, electrical insulators, and refractory products.
Ceramic manufacturing requires two distinct high-temperature kiln firing stages. The Biscuit (Bisque) firing at 900-1100°C drives off moisture, burns out organic binders, and sinters the clay body. The Gloss (Glaze) firing at 1050-1280°C melts the glaze layer, creating the characteristic glossy, impermeable surface of finished ceramics.
LPG is the fuel of choice for ceramic kilns - particularly fast-fire roller kilns - due to its clean combustion, high calorific value, and ability to achieve uniform temperature distribution across wide kiln cross-sections. BPCL supplies ceramic manufacturers of floor tiles, wall tiles, sanitary ware, crockery, electrical porcelain, and industrial refractory products.
LPG delivers the 1280°C+ temperatures needed for full vitrification of porcelain and floor tile bodies.
No sulphur contamination prevents discoloration of white ceramic bodies and transparent glazes.
Control oxidizing vs. reducing atmosphere during firing to achieve specific glaze colours and effects.
LPG's rapid heat release is compatible with modern fast-fire roller kilns operating on 45-minute cycles.
Bulk piped LPG supply is also available for high-volume consumers. Contact BPCL to discuss your requirements.
